Son of incumbent Governor Luis Raymond “LRay” Villafuerte, Luis Miguel “Migz” Villafuerte, has been proclaimed the governor of Camarines Sur.
Migz beat his grandfather, Rep. Luis Villafuerte Sr. in the election race.
The younger Villafuerte got 263,792 votes while his grandfather received 200,086 votes.
He was the only one who came out victorious out of the 4 Villafuertes who ran for public office.
His father LRay was not successful in the congressional race after the victory of incumbent second district Rep. Diosdado “Dato” Arroyo.
Meanwhile, Migz who is now 24 years-old is the youngest elected governor in current history.
