Pulse Asia Survey shows Binay top choice for president

Just two years more and  the next presidential elections will take place, and  based on  a survey of Pulse Asia Inc. Vice President Jejomar Binay is  the frontrunner of a group of veteran and neophyte politicians as the "preferred presidential" candidate for 2016,

ABS CBN  was able to obtain a copy of the reported  survey that was conducted last March 19 to 26, 2014 among 1,200 respondents all over the country.

A list of names were shown to the respondents and asked: "Of the people in this list, whom would you vote for if the 2016 presidential elections were held today and they were candidates?"

Ranking first on the  survey was Binay, who  already declared his intention  to run in 2016.

Binay also is on top of  the government’s housing agencies, and earlier  left his fractious party PDP-Laban.

Below are the  survey results:

Jejomar Binay 40%
Grace Poe 15%
Miriam Defensor-Santiago 10%
Chiz Escudero 9%
Mar Roxas 6%
Bongbong Marcos 5%
Alan Peter Cayetano 4%
Kris Aquino 4%
Bong Revilla 3%
Ping Lacson 2%
