Court submits not guilty plea for Sen. Jinggoy Estrada

After his refusal to enter a plea in his scheduled arraignment today under  plunder and graft cases, Justice Roland Jurado   of the Sandiganbayan Fifth Division entered a not guilty plea for Sen. Jinggoy Estrada.

According to Estrada’s lawyer, Atty. Joel Bodegon, his client declines to enter any plea since  the two cases are  still pending that he had  filed before the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, his co-accused, alleged pork scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles, pleaded "not guilty" to the case.

Estrada is currently facing   one count of plunder and 11 counts of graft for supposedly  receiving P183 million in pork barrel kickbacks from 2004 to 2012. He is now detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center in Camp Crame.
