Reportedly, Janet Napoles’ camp made an admission that it was a mistake for adding Senator JV Ejercito, in the list among those who allegedly received kickbacks from the pork barrel.
“The encoder made a mistake. He’s not included. We apologize to Senator JV,” lawyer Bruce Rivera said.
Howevr, Ejercito is still planning to file a case against the businesswoman, saying the damage has been done.
Even the Department of Justice and the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee are responsible for the release of the Napoles list without any evidence to back it up, according to the senator.
According to Senator Teofisto Guingon III, Committee head, he released the signed initial list last Thursday in spite of the pleas from de Lima. The senator believes that it’s time to top all speculations amid the disclosure of several unsigned lists.
